Dr Krista Kesselring

 

A professor of British history, Krista focuses on early modern criminal, legal, and social history, with books on Mercy and Authority in the Tudor State and The Northern Rebellion of 1569. She has co-edited a collection of essays on Married Women and the Law: Coverture in England and the Common Law World and has an edition of primary sources on the trial of King Charles I forthcoming.  She is now studying the history of homicide and homicide law.  An alumna of Dalhousie who has now taught there for fourteen years. Dr Kesselring is currently the Acting Dean and Associate Dean (Academic) for Dal’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
